This weekend I was very happy because I met many people and I had some wonderful experience! On Saturday I had a good time to nice friends, because we went to the Girl Scouts Hina Maturi at JCC. It was event for us to play to do origami, make Japanese name cards, dress up American children and teach them Japanese songs! I played with Olena and Gillian. They were a different grade, so even if I asked them a question, they didn’t talk and sometimes their mother answers. My heart cried out “Oh my god!” I taught them how to make a dog, yakkosan, camera and a yacht use origami. They liked it so I felt to teaching origami was easy! We played with kendama or some Japanese toys and then they came to talk to me little by little. Finally, we taught then a Japanese song!! They tried to speak Japanese and use gestures. The Girl Scouts Hina Matsuri was very hard but good experience for me!On Sunday morning, I was jogging in MFWI. It was very warm, didn’t fog and met the many squirrels. I was very comfortable in the morning. It was very nice day! At one thirty, Saki and I met our host family in Commons. My host mother’s name is Judy. The father’s name is Rick. The daughter’s name is Sabina. She is seventeen years old, which is the same age as my brother and Saki sister too. My host family was very kind. Sometimes Rick said a joke then Judy said, “He likes telling jokes”. It was amusing and we laughed every time! I was very glad to meet them. Sabina was very interested to Japanese culture so she read “hiragana” “katakana” and a few “kanji”. We were very surprised and I know she was very hard work. I intended to do my best like her. We talked about next home stay. I’m looking forward to seeing them soon!
