My class had two activities with children from two elementary schools on last Wednesday and Friday. Both of them came to our campus. We talked a lot and played inside and outside. I had a great time with them.On Wednesday, the children came to my reading class. One Mukogawa student had one or two children. First, we taught them the Koinobori song in Japanese. In Japan, this song is sung in the Children's Day. It was difficult for the children to sing in Japanese, but they looked delighted. Second, we did origami, and we made the Pikachew that is one of the Pocket Monster, Japanease animation. They were very pleased to make it. Next, we went outside to see the Koinobori in the center of the MFWI campus. It was the clear weather. The children jumped and tried to touch koinobori. After that, children went back to their school. They were very cute and innocent, and they made me jolly.
On Friday, other children came to my American studies class which was in JCC. The children planned on coming there at 12:30, so my conversation teacher, Mary Lou, finished our class 15 minutes earlier. We hurried and ate lunch. My teacher, Christopher, divided us into some groups, and each group had 6 Mukogawa students and 6 children. All the children in my group were boys, so they were naughty and lively. We did origami and made shuriken, camera, paper balloon and so on. They were so excited. After that, we went outside. We jumped rope, and they did it very well and enjoyed it. Next, we played tag. It was so active, and we run about the field for some time. We also taught them some Japanese words like eyes, nose, mouth, head and so on. Children were vital and vivid, so they cheered me up.
These two activities became precious memories in my mind. I really enjoyed them. It was good for me to meet a lot of children.
