The Busiest Trip in my Life

The Busiest Trip in my Life

I went on many trips before the East Coast Trip in April. For example, family trips, school trips and trip with my friends. I could really have good experiences on these trips. I saw many beautiful scenes and buildings. I met many kinds of people on these trip. On April 2nd to 7th, I went to the East Coast to study American culture and history with my friends, teacher and Adviser. My time in Boston and Washington D.C was a very busy one.

I thought 2nd day was the busiest day. We went to Plymouth Rock, Plymouth Plantation, Orchard House, Walden Pond, and Old North Bridge. The staying time at each place was very short but I learned many things at there. In Plymouth Plantation, I had a chance to talk with Native American people there. They protected their traditional life. I could hear interesting things from one of the Native Americans. She had a very hard bag. She said it was made from turtle’s shell. Turtle is the symbol of long life in their culture. It was the reason why they use turtle’s shell for a bag. At Orchard House, I was really bad at talking to other people from myself, but I could ask questions to our guide. Even though this day was busy but these are good experiences for me in this trip.

On the 3rd day, was also a busy day for input of to much information to my brain. We went to Harvard University, Freedom trail, Quincy Market and Old North Church. All of place were very historical and traditional. I was studying about these places a lot in American studies class but there was more and more information when I actually went. I was desperate to takes notes and pictures. Especially at Freedom trail, I looked around many at places. At that time, the weather was really bad, it was rainy and cold. I’ll write later about that, I couldn’t sleep well because of terrible trouble, so I was very tired. Even though my brain was tired, I guess I could say these were valuable experiences for me.

In 5th day and last day were busy because of many troubles. We planned to go to many memorials on the 5th day, so from the morning, we went to the US Capitol and White House. But our bus broke down. We changed the schedule, then we went to Smithsonian Museum. It was unexpected thing for me. When I came back to Spokane, our airplane shook a lot. I get motion sickness easily, so at that time my feeling was terrible. Maybe all of the students got motion sickness. I have one more interesting experience on this trip. On the night of 2nd day, emergency alarm rang in the hotel. I think it was 2a.m. I was really surprised because I have never heard emergency alarm at a hotel. But these troubles were also a good experience for me.

In conclusion, my brain and body were both busy and tired in this trip. But I could learn a lot of things about American history and culture. When you travel, the unexpected is sure to happen. I thought, it was really a nice trip in spite of all such things. I’m happy to had a valuable experience. It became lovely memories in my life.
